A number of books dealing with the Yaqui Indian lore or Yaqui Sorcerer, Duan Juan deMatus have been written by sociologist of religion, Carlos Casteneda. Don Juan tells us that in the Spiritual Life, you must have the right Intent. You must intend the right end for yourself, or disaster may strike. If you choose God as you end, God will betray you for being a syncophant, instead of being his friend. Evil, on the other hand, is either a lessening of The Good, or the opposite of The Good. Therefore, it you choose evil as your end you will die a horrible death and rot in Hell for at least 100,000 years. The Wiseman or woman, chooses her or her or hae own Individual Good using Gray Magic, as his or her or hae end. Your own Individual Good is in your own rational self interest, and is neither irrationally selfish, nor irrationally altruistic. Don Juan also tells us that to do well, you must keep up your personal energy level. Stupid cannibals do this by trying to kill their children and then eat them. Don Juan reommends gazing into the Sun, early in the morning to get your energy back, or to increase or maintain it. Rather than gazing into the Sun, which could seriously damage your eyes, it is possible to gaze into a 40 watt light bulb, twice a day for 5 minutes in order to infuse photon quantum energy into your brain. However, this can cause a quantum reality shift for you, and you might end up on a psychiatric ward for awhile as you decompress from the experience. You can also meditate with the phrase "Reality is 99.999999% Real," in order to produce an altered state of consciousness. You can also meditate with the phrase, "one is to two as two is to four, and, one half equals two fourths," in order to produce an altered state of consciousness. The goal is to gradually interface your left hemisphere with your right hemisphere. The result is interactive, intellectual thinking and a movement from unitary superficial consciousness to aunitary daoist consciousness, with a resultant increase in you Wisdom and Intuition. Soon, you begin to understand things at a deeper level. You begin to read between the lines, and read the signs of the times. You begin to be a Seer who has Subtle Knowledge, or as Don Juan calls it, Tacit Knowledge. You begin to develop the ability to integrate and use, Subtle Gray Magic, rejecting the extremes of irrational "good" and irrational "evil>" The Hero's Journey, or the Wisdom Journey, or the Shaman's Journey, or the Spiritual Journey, takes you deep into the subconscious where you must typically reprogram with Pagan Greek Archetypes such as the gods Pan and Apollo or the goddesses Athena or Sophia. You then must use Greek Metaphysics, Philosophy, Cosmology, and Mathematics to restructure. Then you must program for yourself in internal government with an Ecexutive Branch, Judiciary Branch, and a Legislative Branch. For Christians, God the Father is the President, God the Son is the Chief Judge of the Supreme Court, and God the Holy Spriit is th People of God who are the Legislative Branch. Then, The Law of Logic, or Sheriff's Law is used as the law which is employed. It is a crime under Law to be a sophist, and to maliciously practice sophistry to hurt others. Sheriff's Law functions as substantive and procedural due process and is based, in the first instance, on the inherent, irrevocable natural, individual rights of Life, Existence, Pursuit of Meaningful Happiness, Property, Contract, Reputation, and reasonable privacy.
It should be noted that Christian Spirituality has always taught that you can maintain or increase you personal energy by receiving the Eurcharist in Good Faith, and by engaging in Comtemplative Prayer or Meditation.
